I haven’t posted on here in quite some time, and for the few of you who read this blog I apologize. I’m going to be a bit more active in the coming weeks.
I’ll be posting in the next couple of days some walk-throughs on a few stories I did that recently won me some awards.
One was for a piece I did in Arkansas — I found at least 850 felons who used a firearm to hunt. The other was a piece on defective bridges/bridge safety in Nebraska for KRNU radio, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s radio station.

The Emma L. Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media has a paid internship opportunity available now in Lincoln.
This is a part-time position for a mature high school senior or college freshman during the school year for no more than 20 hours per week, and up to 40 hours when school is not in session. The student selected will have the job until they graduate college. Student and sponsor negotiate the days and work hours each school term. The student must: be familiar with the City of Lincoln and interested in film, public affairs, video, or radio. Also
desirable is an interest in sports or engineering; at least a feel for things engineering.
Any minority student (African American, Hispanic, Asian or Native American) who is a mature high school senior, or college freshman has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, is interested in a career in the media industry, and is in a four-year accredited college or university is eligible to apply.
